Founder

Chuck Hesse, Chief Development Officer
Chuck Hesse, Chief Development Officer and former CEO, controls new product development and expansion options throughout the Caribbean region. A founder of the Company, he brings to the Company 30 years of good will in the Caribbean, the result of his resource management and environmental education work with PRIDE. A graduate of Annapolis and former US Navy submarine officer, he has graduate degrees in biology and nuclear engineering. He has decades of hands on practical experience in staff training, marine biology, out island construction and energy management.
 
Chuck has worked in, and on the sea most of the past 40 years, with conch in the Caribbean for the past 30 years. He holds a lifetime position on the TWI Board of Directors. He is a founding member of the Government's National Conservation Committee, the National Trust of the Turks & Caicos Islands and PRIDE. He is a permanent resident of the Turks & Caicos and a US citizen.

Allen Eichler, Vice President of Business Development
Allen has managed people, projects, and businesses for several startups and Fortune-500 companies. In a business development capacity, he developed strategic business relationships valued over US$100 million. Allen is applying his MBA from Rice University and his fifteen years of business skills to drive expansion plans for the Caicos Conch Farm’s parent company, Trade Wind Industries, Ltd. (TWI). Allen is working with business leaders throughout the Caribbean and Latin America to expand conch farming from a single production facility to a major regional industry.

Farm Staff

Catherine Dyer, Production Manager
Catherine Dyer, Production Manager, controls all aspects of the production of conch, from the gathering of egg masses to the packing for shipment of the live conch. She supervises a staff of 16 technicians whose skills range from the high tech demands of bacteria-free algae production to the laborer who cleans conch growout ponds. She also is responsible for harvesting, processing, and packing of all product lines and on-island sales.
 
A graduate of Plymouth University, England, she has been with the Company for over 15 years and is directly responsible for implementing changes in how the hatchery operates that have allowed the farm to increased yields, with no increases in production costs. She has pioneered much of the post larval growout as well as the at sea growout now being done in offshore pens. Catherine has gained experience in sales and marketing and aspires to become the CEO of the farm.
 
Catherine's loyalty and motivation is above any question; she manages the operational aspects of the Company in the absence of the CEO.

Harolean Taylor, Business & Plant Administration Manager
Harolean Taylor, Business & Plant Administration Manager, controls all of the personnel and accounting and shipping matters for the Company. She also assures that physical plant maintenance is done on a timely basis.
 
Mrs. Taylor joined the Company 14 years ago, a recent high school graduate. She started work as a hatchery technician and enhanced her worth to the Company by acquiring computer and bookkeeping skills. She operates the multi?department Peachtree?based computer accounting system and maintains all work permit and National Insurance records, as well as the CITES and Customs documentation required to export product. She maintains the administrative functionality of the Company in the absence of the CEO.
